Bayernhof Museum Tour and Lunch

PARC is offering two 2-1/2 hour tours of the Bayernhof Museum, a 19,000 sq. ft. museum with hidden doors and secret passages, which houses a large collection of music boxes and other fascinating automatic musical instruments, as well as many other interesting items.

Because of the size of the rooms, tours are limited to 14 people each, so tour reservations will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please indicate if you prefer the morning or the afternoon tour, or if you are flexible and can attend either.  Please note the facility is not ADA compliant.

Lunch at The Cornerstone restaurant can accommodate 40 for lunch, so if you cannot make the tour, this is a good time to try out a new restaurant.  Menu selections can be found on the next page.

tickets are a bit more expensive as the seats are in the orchestra section of Heinz Hall.  If you are interested, please contact Kay.

The PARC Program Committee has been asked about promoting PARC member participation in group tours that have not been organized by the PARC Program Committee.
An example is the National Parks trip, organized by a PARC member, where anyone can participate and groups are welcome.  While such trips will not be sponsored by PARC, we have developed the following guidelines to permit ‘advertising’ a specific trip in the PARC newsletter and on the web site.  These are:

    1. the trip must be organized by a PARC member or an Alcoa employee,
    2. that person must participate in the trip, and
    3. if there are any trip rebates, including group discounts and free trips for having a certain number of attendees, these must be equally shared by all participants.
